If I like it, you'll know. If I hate it, you'll REALLY know.

Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia

If you've never seen this show, now is the time to queue up Season 3 on Netflix.  This is easily the funniest show on TV that no one watches.  Season 4 starts on September 18, so mark your calendars.

The Wine Rack: Putting the Hooch Back In Hoochie

I first introduced you to the Shit Box, but now I have a little something for the ladies.  I now bring you (drumroll, please): THE WINE RACK!

Here's a quick snippet from the website:

This comfortable sports-style bra contains a special hooter-enhancing polyurethane bladder that can be filled with your drink of choice. Simply slip it on,  fill up with wine or whatever and wear it under your regular clothes. You can then indulge in a spot of stealth drinking via the WineRack's adjustable drinking tube. With a rack like this,  girls' nights out will never be the same again. As for boys' nights out,  well,  the mind boggles.

The Dark Knight Returns poster

PS: It's a fake, but still a great take on how the Riddler could be introduced into the new Batman universe.  :)

Olympic Volleyball: What's the black stuff?

Like everyone else, I've been watching the Olympics.  In particular, I was watching women's volleyball (*meeeee-ow*prrrrr*hiss-hiss*) and noticed the black "stuff" on American volleyballer Kerri Walsh's arm.  And, like anyone else that was watching, I wondered, "What is that stuff?".

Thankfully, Yahoo Sports has solved the mystery:

If you've watched any beach volleyball so far during the Olympics,  you've surely noticed it. Spread across American star Kerri Walsh's right shoulder is a distinct black marking that sort of looks like a cross between a tribal tattoo and a Rorschach test. (I see a butterfly.) So what is it?

As is usually the case in instances like this,  the most mundane explanation is also the correct one. The black markings on Walsh's shoulder are a sort of medical tape. Specifically,  it's called kinesio tape,  a special elastic material designed to support muscles while offering an unimpeded range of motion. Walsh had shoulder surgery last fall to remove bone chips,  bone spurs and scar tissue that had built up over a lifetime of setting and spiking. The tape,  and taping method,  help stabilize the shoulder during the match and aids in circulation.

Video Game Review: Braid

If you own an Xbox, you owe it to yourself to purchase this game.  "Braid" is a classic platformer (think Super Mario Bros.) with some wickedly fun puzzles thrown into each level.  Sounds fairly traditional, but what separates this game from it's competition are it's visuals, musical score, and storyline.  The graphics use a cool watercolor effect and the soundtrack is orchestral -- not the cheesy "bump-bump-BUMP-ba-da-da-bump" we're used to hearing.  And, without spoiling anything, the end of the story will be something you and your friends will openly debate after completing the game.

"Braid" is currently #1 on GameFAQs.com and has quickly become the second highest selling game of all time on the Xbox Live Arcade.  Some people are balking at the 1200 point price point, but IMO, it's important to support developers who make great games that contain unique experiences.

Long story short, stop reading this review and start playing Braid.  You can thank me later.
